About Jay

My name is Josh but my stage name is Jay Phatty. I'm 26 years old and I've been creating music for about 8 years, in that time I've accumulated 30,000 subscribers on YouTube due to my short and long form FL Studio tutorials. I believe everyone has the ability to make music, they just need the guiding hand to push them in the correct direction.

About the lesson

I get straight to the point, no fluff. With me you'll learn music theory, rhythm, song structure and how to sample. As well as learning the ins and out of FL Studio and all its shortcuts. I can help beginners all the way to pros level up their production. The lessons will be done in Discord but if that isn't suitable I am open to other platforms that are similar.

Jay has an extensive knowledge on Fl Studio and has been able to teach me techniques that I use on my home daw (Logic Pro). He is also very informative when working one on one as he has helped with mixes, rapping techniques, and sampling techniques. He is dedicated to his craft as you can see from his releases and YouTube channel that has guided hundreds of creatives into experimenting on their own craft. I have released many collabs with Jay and have many more to come. He is timely and has great communication. Jay is just an overall great person to work with!

Jay has been not just teaching for years but learning as well. Which helps him stay up to date when it comes to teaching. This man is dedicated and if he puts his mind to something he will see it through. He is the only person I know to read the full FL studio manual to be able to help others.

I have spent the last 3 years working with Jay as a rapper and he is a producer/music engineer
I went in with no music knowledge or background and have been able to retain knowledge and many tools to the point of being able to record on my own and use the correct vocabulary when asking for effects/production preferences
