About Joselyn
I am currently a 1st year medical student at UCL and took Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in A levels. Having achieved seven 9s and two 8s at GCSE and As and A*s in A levels I believe I can teach all of the subjects mentioned above, but specially Biology
Even though I am new to this platform, I have taught children before ; on the mornings every week I taught year 5 students how to tackle some complex mathematical problems by stimulating their problem solving skills. In addition, I teach my little sister GCSE content and beyond so that she may be able to apply to any sixth form she wishes.

My approach to teaching is to focus on the understanding of the concepts being taught in the curriculum, rather than just memorising them. This is a more effective method of learning because I find people are less likely to forget. Another reason why focusing on the understanding is essential is because a significant part of the exams is being able to apply the concepts learnt, and without understanding that would be quite difficult.
