About Nafisah
Hi! I’m Nafisah, a friendly and enthusiastic tutor who is passionate about helping students reach their potential. I know that sometimes a subject can feel impossible simply because it hasn’t been explained in the right way yet, and I love helping students have that “I get it now!” moment.
I have a strong academic background, achieving nine 9s in my GCSE subjects with excellent A-level grades. I already have experience tutoring, so I know what kind of things help lessons stick. My goal is for students to leave each lesson understanding something better and feeling more confident about it!

I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs, strengths and areas for improvement. My aim is not simply to give students the answers, but to help them understand why something works so that they can approach questions confidently.
As a private tutor with a year of experience, I have helped students excel in exams. At the beginning of each lesson, I like to spend a few minutes going over what we covered previously, using short activities to refresh the student's memory. Then, we build on this knowledge by introducing new topics and exam technique, working through examples together before the student has a go independently. Finishing the lesson by going over key points together allows students to consolidate their learning. I’m also keen on encouraging students to ask questions and make mistakes, as this is the precursor to progress!
Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long, although this can be adjusted depending on the student's age and needs. Maths, further maths, biology and chemistry lessons are aimed at students of all ages up to 16 (GCSE Level). Science lessons, including physics, up to KS3.
