About Viraj
I am a 2nd year undergraduate student at Cambridge with a real passion for Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I study Natural Sciences. I achieved A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A Level and achieved Grade 9s in these subjects at GCSE (Overall GCSE results: 10 x Grade 9, 1 x Grade 8).
I have tutored for the last couple of years and have seen my students consistently improve by 2-3 grades during the course of our lessons.
I have mentored students in the past and I have really enjoyed those experiences. I find explaining concepts, however basic, to someone else helps me to maintain my own grasp of each subject.
I can quickly and easily identifty students' weaker topic areas, and immediately begin work with them to rectify any misconceptions, by relearning or revising the topic followed by exam style questions.

I am familiar with platforms used for online tutoring and can efficiently integrate online tools such as whiteboards and videos into lessons to optimise the learning experience. Online tuition has come a long way in the last decade. The technology and software available have made online tuition reliable, hassle free, and fun. In fact, I’ve found that being able to be face-to-face with our students throughout the session over the video chat is actually an improved experience to that of being side-by-side at a table in the traditional, ‘in person’ set up! It truly makes a difference to the student engagement and student-tutor connection during the session.
I have access to many GCSE science resources and questions that can be used in lessons and I am happy to set and mark homework if that is useful to my students.
I have worked for a number of tutors in the past creating tailored resources such as question packs and model answers. I also have experience mentoring younger students at school over a period of 4 years. I enjoyed seeing real improvements in my students' abilities as they progessed with me.
