About Thato
Art, to me, is more than just technique—it’s about connection. I’m deeply passionate about creating, learning, and experiencing art in all its forms, but what truly drives me is storytelling. My work often amplifies the voices of those who go unheard, transforming their narratives into visual statements that spark awareness and emotion. Why does this matter for your lessons? Because art isn’t just about how you draw or paint—it’s about why you do it. Whether you’re exploring realism, abstraction, or digital mediums, I’ll help you uncover the stories you want to tell, while refining the skills to express them powerfully.

Why My Tutoring Stands Out:
Proven Excellence: Ranked #1 in my provincial high school exams (94%) and won multiple art competitions from Grade 10–12.
Diverse Mastery: Specializing in photography, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, and digital art—I bridge traditional and contemporary practices.
Global Exposure: Exhibited in museums and galleries across South Africa, Swaziland, and France, bringing international perspectives to your learning.
Academic Rigor: Currently pursuing a Master’s in Fine Arts to deepen my practice and mentorship skills—I’m invested in art as a lifelong journey.
What You’ll Gain:
Personalized lessons tailored to your goals, whether you’re a beginner or prepping for competitions/portfolio reviews.
Insider insights into the art world, from conceptual development to exhibition-ready presentation.
A focus on your artistic identity—because art isn’t just about skill, it’s about storytelling.
