About Adrienne
My approach as an educator is centered on building strong, professional relationships with students so that I can support them in becoming their best selves. I believe that getting to know students as individuals helps me understand how they learn, what motivates them, and what support they need to succeed.
I am an open-minded person who enjoys trying new things and challenging myself. I find that my willingness to step outside my comfort zone can encourage students to take on challenges of their own and develop confidence in their abilities. My own experiences with different ways of learning have also shaped my pedagogy, encouraging me to approach topics from multiple perspectives and consider the challenges that students may face in the classroom. I strive to create an environment where students feel understood, supported, and encouraged to engage with learning in ways that work for them.

I believe every student is an individual, and I aim to find approaches that work for each learner. I enjoy getting to know students, discovering what they are passionate about, and using those interests to make learning more engaging, accessible, and meaningful. I am primarily experienced in elementary classrooms, but I have also taught English as an Additional Language and have some experience working with older students. Alongside my teaching degree, I am continuing my studies in History, which allows me to bring additional knowledge and enthusiasm for the humanities into the classroom. As a TOC, I am adaptable, approachable, and comfortable stepping into different classrooms and supporting students with a range of learning needs.
