About Isabella
Hi, I'm Isa! I am an Italian Physics Grad Student and I have been teaching math to people with learning disabilities (from Dyscalculia to ADHD, to everything in between) for the past five years. I have 1000+ hours of experience and attended a 60h course on tutoring special needs students.
I offer tailored programs based on the individual to let them gain autonomy in the study of math and physics, and a deep understanding of these beautiful subjects. Often high school professors focus on route memorization instead of true understanding, which can make math obscure and confusing, not to mention boring. Nobody wants to learn thousands of random formulas that doesn't seem to make sense!
I know this feeling too well - I attended a Musical High School with almost no math courses: University was a shock. I had to learn how to study math, and discovered the hard way that it needs a completely different approach than other subjects; but at the end of the first year I was in the top 10% of my course, and I have a lot of tricks to share.
I don't teach only to special needs students, though: among my students there are Claudia, a girl who never got a mark over F in physics and Alex, a man in his late twenties who wanted to go back to school. Both of them now consistently get top marks. But not only top marks can be a success: after struggling with a dyscalculia so severe she couldn't subtract numbers, Sara managed to get through all of High School unscatered, with passing grades in math.

After I have an idea of what are your strenght and weakness, as well as if you lost some important bits of past math knowledge (it happens to the best of us!), I will guide you in a personalized learning program, tailored for you.
A very wide array of different people! People with Dyscalculia, Dyslessia, ADHD, Autism, High Schooler and University students, as well as some people in their late twenties and thirties who wanted to go back to learning.

My rates are:
30$/h per one high school student.
40$/h for special needs and SLD students (ADHD included)
50$/h per college and University student.
20$/h per each person for groups of two students and 15$/h per each person for groups of 3+.
