About Emily
Hello! My name is Emily, I am a 5th year medical student at Magdalen College, Oxford. As a student, I have always found teaching by my peers and older students the most helpful, since they knew what examiners and interviewers were looking for, and could identify and clearly explain those trickier topics. As a tutor, I aim to provide the same tailored approach to learning, helping students navigate their chosen topics and inspiring academic interest beyond the school syllabus.

As a medical student, I have first-hand experience of how daunting it can be to apply to medical school! My approach involves helping students make the most from their work experience and assisting in UCAT preparation alongside schoolwork and extracurriculars. My expertise includes running mock Oxbridge interviews and providing tailored feedback, ensuring that my students are confident and well-prepared when approaching their interviews.

Emily is an excellent tutor who has helped me with preparation for medicine interviews. Each session was well- structured and Emily provided me with thorough feedback that allowed me to fully understand my strengths and weaknesses and build my confidence. She is diligent and patient with an engaging and encouraging teaching style. I wholeheartedly recommend Emily as a tutor!
Emily was really nice and patient and explained everything to me in detail until I fully understood it. I definitely wouldn’t have done as well in my maths A-level without her.
Emily was really good at explaining difficult things. I found quadratic equations really hard and now I can do them!
Emily is an excellent tutor and extremely advanced in and enthusiastic about her subject matter. She is patient and has explained complex topics very well to me in the past. Her methodical approach and engaging style would be beneficial to any student and so I highly recommend this tutor!
