About Alyssa

I am a university student pursing a double major in biomedical engineering and computer engineering with a minor in Spanish. I have experience tutoring high school, middle school, and elementary school students. I have flexible scheduling and am willing to work with anyone!

About the lesson

I hone my sessions on building the foundation of the subject, like reinforcing old concepts that are necessary for newer concepts. Then I focus on the trouble areas in the subject and why the student did not understand the concept. I also help prepare for tests.

Perfect! Alyssa is amazing!! I highly recommend her for any tutoring job. She is so nice, intelligent, dependable, personable, etc. I could go on forever. She worked with my teenage son on his "homeschooling" math software to explain high-level concepts and complicated multi-step problems. He went from struggling to excelling (and loving math) after only two sessions with Alyssa. His grade improved from a 'C', incomplete and behind schedule, to finish with an 'A' in the class, one month ahead of schedule. She figured out his learning style quickly and was able to create a clear picture for him. I would definitely hire her again if my son needs help with his math classes in high school.
