About Rod

I am a teacher. I've taught at the university-level for many years. Subjects I have taught included Academic Writing, Research Methods, and English for Academic Purposes (among other ones).

I can help you write:
-Essays and papers of many genres
-Research manuscripts
-IELTS essays (Task 1 and Task 2)
-CVs, resumes, and cover letters for applications, including university and job applications

About the lesson

I work with my student to decide their needs. I love to give samples so students can learn. Most importantly, I give great feedback. My classes will include regular feedback that you can apply so you can quickly improve. Feedback is not only for basic mistakes, but includes comments on structure, style, vocabulary, etc.

Details

I charge $35 an hour for a lesson with no feedback or corrections.
I charge $50 an hour for a lesson with feedback and corrections. Feedback is usually a draft of an assignment (~250 words) that we can decide on.
If you would like to purchase a package of lessons, we can talk about that as well.
Any other needs can be accommodated if you tell me clearly.
