About CANDICE
With a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics: Secondary Education from Appalachian State University and six years as a full-time high school math teacher, I bring both experience and empathy to my tutoring sessions. As a neurodivergent educator, I understand the diverse ways students process and engage with learning. This perspective allows me to support both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners with compassion, flexibility, and effective strategies. I prioritize a respectful, empowering environment where every student feels seen, capable, and supported. Professionalism, patience, and a genuine love for teaching are at the heart of everything I do.

I'm a full-time high school math teacher with a Bachelor's in Mathematics: Secondary Education from Appalachian State University and six years of classroom experience. I provide personalized tutoring in math and study skills for grades K–12, and reading and spelling for grades K–5. My lessons emphasize clarity, engagement, and real-world application, tailored to each student's unique learning style. What sets me apart is my deep commitment to making quality education accessible—I’m not in this to get rich, but to ensure that students from all walks of life receive the support they deserve, whenever they need it. Learning should be possible for everyone.
