About Brittany
I enjoy tutoring both genders ages 13-18 because this is a critical time in a teenager's development. Sometimes encouragement can change everything.
I constantly read and write in my spare time. Coaching writing is fun for me and the amount of joy I feel when a writer picks up on my tips and tricks is hard to quantify.
My tutoring style is kind while being informative and flexible as well. I do assign homework if it's agreed upon or needed.

The first lesson is a baseline class. I assess the student's level of whatever topic we are working on. Toward the end of the class, I talk with the student about goals. If the parent would like to sit in at any point during the lesson and talk about what goals they have for their child, I'd be delighted to listen. Together, (possibly the three of us) make a tutoring plan and talk about what materials the student might need such as physical work books or online tools, practice tests etc.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my experience and patience with all levels of students. I provide support, positive feedback and constructive negative feedback as needed.
