About Thomas F
I have 30+ years as a SAG-AFTRA Actor with dozens of legitimate theatre productions performed as well. I have very recently returned to the Chicago area after spending 17 years in LA working in the entertainment business (You can view my resumé on my IMDb page). Before moving to LA I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Television Production/Directing. I have also studied acting at numerous acting and improv studios in Chicago and LA. From feature films to live character performances and legitimate theatre to stand-up comedy; and from web series to prime-time sitcoms, episodic productions and daytime dramas, I have performed across the board in film, television and theatre. My method of coaching will be based on the actors needs, from beginning level to advanced, whether you are looking for an introduction to acting or need coaching on an upcoming 'big' audition, together we will work to achieve the goals you set.

As with most forms of artistic expression, it will be what method works best for the student that guides the teaching/learning process. Acting is a creative process that the actor discovers through direction and rehearsal. Having studied across multiple acting methods, it will be the student that guides my coaching in what they need to focus on. Whether it is the written word or long-form improvisation I will work with the student at their level, from beginner to advanced, to enhance their skills in acting for the lens or for live performance. We can work on general acting skills or prepare for an upcoming audition or production.
