About Joey

I am a registered nurse (RN) with experience in cardiovascular surgery, trauma, and neurosurgery. I am pursuing a master of nursing and hoping to jumpstart a career in clinical informatics. I have experience teaching adult learners and am certified in BCLS (BLS), ACLS, coronary care 1 and 2, and neurosurgery 1.

About the lesson

My teaching methods include encouraging independent critical thinking, creating an environment where students are not afraid to learn and make mistakes, and generating thoughtful discussion. I like to think that I am approachable and flexible when teaching. I am comfortable and skilled with teaching young adults and adult learners online.
