About Lizemari

I've been a tutor (both online and in person) since 2016. I mostly enjoyed teaching Afrikaans as a foreign language to my international students. Most of my clients have become conversational and learned to read and write in Afrikaans.

About the lesson

Whether you are learning Afrikaans as a second or foreign language, OR you are Afrikaans speaking and are looking to improve your skills, this is the course for you. By using literature as the foundation of lessons, I strive to keep all lessons interesting, exciting and informative. My course is adaptable to any specific needs you might have, for eg. learning jargon for specific occupations.

Perfect! Lizemari is a brilliant Afrikaans tutor! I highly recommend working with her if you're looking to learn the language. Liz is a true professional who makes sure each lesson is interesting and engaging. She absolutely goes the extra mile to help with pronunciation and develop your abilities, and tailors every class to what you're looking to learn.

Perfect! I would not hesitate to recommend Liz as an Afrikaans teacher. She is a very patient, encouraging and engaging teacher with an effective method! I did not learn Afrikaans past grade 4 as I moved overseas. After working with her for the better part of 7 months, Liz helped me feel much more comfortable with conversational Afrikaans. Her lessons were delivered online and a flexible mix of structured content and exploration through conversation.
