Please investigate the cost of aviation today. I hate being the bearer of bad news. It is expensive, and I know; - I paid for every one of my ratings personally, while working and raising a family. So when I say that a plane and fuel is $140/hr, please don't blame me, - aviation insurance alone is unreal! I generally earn $50/hr for my time, and specialized instruction is additional (ie, seaplane, multiengine or instrument) That said, I know some good ways to minimize the cost of training for a Private Pilot license or and instrument rating, for example, and I am not here to build time at your expense. If I know ways to keep the cost down, I will suggest them.

In the Spring, I plan to be doing seaplane instruction again, and that is even more expensive, sorry to say. But if you investigate the options you'll find that I am one of the least expensive sources of flight training in the area, and my goal is to keep it fun. (When it's not fun, people stop coming).
