About Mila Moore
With a BA in math from Dartmouth College and a PhD in math from Northwestern University, I have a strong foundation in mathematics. My experience ranges from being a volunteer math tutor in high school to serving as a TA during my grad student years, where I was recognized as the best TA in my department. I have taught various math courses, including calculus, linear algebra, and number theory, and have successfully helped students prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and AP exams. I believe in adapting my teaching style to match the individual learning needs of my students and providing them with ample practice to build their math skills. Let's work together to conquer any math challenge you may be facing!

In teaching math, I prioritize fostering a sense of discovery and creativity rather than rote memorization. I believe that math is not just about following procedures but about puzzle-solving and unveiling deep truths. I aim to make each concept memorable through visualizations and providing historical insights. While I adhere to the curriculum, I strive to make the ideas glow and offer little nuggets of wisdom to enhance understanding. As your guide and advocate, I aim to empower you to reason with math rather than simply memorize methods. My approach blends entertainment with education, and I aim to help you grasp the essence of what math truly is. Ultimately, my goal is to equip you with the confidence and skills needed to excel in your math studies.
