About Tyne
I am a second year geophysics major, if you don't know what that is, it's basically math, rocks and physics. I go the University of British Columbia and did my first year in general science. I used to work in a restaurant.

My main focus is to try and understand the way the student is seeing the problem and why they don't understand it, and then explain it accordingly. Far too often have I gone up to a teacher or a prof and all they did was repeat the way they had tried to explain it in the first place (which clearly didn't work), and then I just feel awkward for still not getting it and just sort f walk away. By understanding how the student sees it I can both better explain it and try to gage how well they truly understand the material.
