About Melissa

Writing, though it is a worthy pastime, can be daunting. Even if you have a penchant for it, the sheer scope of some projects—or even some of the so-called minor aspects of it—can seem to be too much. As someone who was obsessed enough to have written a novel and is currently working with a professional editor, I know: things can get crazy. But with my experience dealing with the minutiae of the English language through my years as an ESL tutor, all the way over to my personal and scholastic experiences with the loftier benchmarks of story-telling and creative writing, I’m confident we can accomplish whatever it is you’re setting out to do! I didn’t burn myself out getting straight A’s for nothing, okay? ;) (Seriously though, there’s more to life than good grades. Trust me!)

Everything will be tailored entirely to you. Whether you need one question answered or you have a project staring you down, I can help. I have years of creative writing experience, always got top marks in my English classes, and spent several years working as an ESL tutor. Anything from grammar to fluency to creativity (and even a little bit of publishing know-how) — I’ve got you covered! I also like to spend some time getting to know what does and doesn’t work for an individual, as everyone has their own learning style.
