About Maksym
During my teaching placement at City of Liverpool College (2020/21), at Priestley College in Warrington (2021/22), and in its application as a cover supervisor at colleges and academies across Merseyside I have excelled across both academic and practical platforms. My studies of pedagogical methods combined active teaching practice during which I have had an opportunity to teach modules Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to UK Politics, Sociology of Religion, Research Methods in Psychology, History, Psychological Perspectives and Offender Profiling totalling 125 teaching hours.
Also, during my teaching placement at CLC, I have been teaching practical skills, such as facilitating student-led seminar, coordinating student activities in small groups of three and four, observing senior tutor-led seminars, giving group student support sessions, organising student workshops on preparing their essays, as well as marking student essays based on the principles of embedded formative assessment as collaborative and developmental in focus. I was delivering to each student an embedded Personal Development Curriculum (PDC) programme from year 7 to Year 13 in order to help students to develop their life skills that they will require in the future. Finally, I have provided students with pastoral support and one-to-one theoretical and methodological engagement in assessment marking/moderation etc.

During 2024/25 academic year at Penketh High School, Dixons Broadgreen Academy, Cowley International College, Prescott High School, Halewood Academy and Grange Academy in Runcorn, I was teaching English, Science, Maths, Languages (Spanish, French, German), History, Geography and Business and, currently, I am working as an exam invigilator at Kings Leadership Academy Dinge Vale where I oversee invigilation in English Language, English Literature, Physics, Combined Science, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Further Maths, History, Geography, Health and Social and Spanish Speaking. I ensure that students are concentrated on their papers and, where it is needed, have full access to reading, calculable and language provision support, as well as sufficient rest breaks.
I have Safeguarding Certificates (10/10/2025, 04/11/2025) obtained in the areas of work with SEN students with: ADD, ADHD, ASD, AS, SD, BP, CF, DEF, DS, EBD, Gifted & Talented, GLD, HI, Makaton, PECS, PMLD, SB, SEBD, SpLD.
I was a Teacher of Sociology, Humanities and English for Years 12-17 student groups. I organised work in small groups, including student activities and interactive student assignments following National Curriculum and GCSE and AQA Scheme of Work. Also, I was checking individual student progress and achievement following their life skills development and work placement-oriented marking schemes and their Personal Development Plan. I was preparing students to excel in giving exam-style answers in Sociology using Study Smarter UK and Vaia flashcards and self-assessments portal and was assisting main grade tutors to sit for mock exams in AQA topics in Sociology and Criminology.
Most recently, at Lowe Academy, Willesden, London, Acton Arc Academy, Hammersmith, London Acland Burgley School, Camden, London, Oasis Academy, Coulsden, Birchwood High School, Bishop’s Stortford, John F Kennedy Catholic School, Hemel Hempstead, Bexleyheath Academy and Chadwell Heath Academy, Romford I have been cover supervisor for the mainstream and SEND classes with assignments to deliver lessons in History, Cooking, Science, Sociology, Psychology, Spanish, Maths, Music and Business by the lesson plans and GCSE national Schemes of Work. I was responsible to monitor the progress of each year 12-17 student under her/his Personal Development Plan.
