I aim to provide clear, concise, and approachable explanations, and to coach students in working through questions in a way that reduces their anxiety about tackling maths problems. My approach to tutoring places the focus on understanding the fundamentals first, as I find this to be more engaging and less stressful for students.
I typically do one hour maths lessons for leaving cert or university students.
My experience:
Grinds with Leaving Cert students since 2011
Running labs and tutorials in CIT during my my PhD studies: 2015-2017
Lecturing mathematics at third level in CIT/MTU: 2019-2023
