About Linda

Hi. I'm a certified teacher and I tutor students in math and reading from grades kindergarten through 6th grade.

I've worked with students from all different backgrounds and with a variety of needs. My belief is that every child is unique and capable of learning and achieving. They just may do it in a different way than other students.

Recognizing the needs and differences in my students is part of building a relationship based on mutual respect and consideration. This is how I build a safe learning environment for my students, so they know they are seen and heard.

My instruction is based in the science of reading. It focuses on building a strong foundation in phonological awareness and targeted skill development, including decoding, blending, reading and spelling. Students are encourage to think and apply what they know during engaging lessons in a safe environment.

This is a student focused and student driven approach so no one gets left behind.

So, whether you homeschool or your child receives reading interventions at school, adding me to your team will boost your child’s progress.
