My teaching approach in English and History is to bring the subjects to life by connecting them to the present and providing examples. I create personalized lesson plans that incorporate a variety of resources, including texts, writer's workshops, images, videos, and museums. I also encourage hands-on activities, such as analyzing artworks or writing inspired by different authors. At the end of each lesson, I provide detailed summaries and facilitate discussions to reinforce understanding.
My in-depth knowledge of history allows me to pinpoint the origins of misconceptions or confusion that students may have. This helps to streamline the learning process and accelerate comprehension. As a passionate art historian, I make complex topics more accessible, enabling students to develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of art. Additionally, I am skilled at identifying areas where students need extra support or guidance, fostering their learning and growth.
