About Alice
I’m an experienced and passionate Art Textiles tutor with over five years of formal education in textiles, from GCSE to A-Level — and a lifelong love for the subject that began when I started creating textile pieces at around nine years old. I have a deep appreciation for detail and enjoy exploring the meaning and intention behind each piece of work. I love helping GCSE students grow creatively and critically, guiding them to build strong, personal sketchbooks that show both skill and thought. My aim is to support each student in finding their own style and voice, and to help their work feel more personal, purposeful, and confident.

I help students develop their textile sketchbooks step-by-step, guiding them to meet key assessment objectives (AO1–AO4). This includes strengthening their research of artists and techniques, encouraging creative idea development, supporting practical experimentation, and refining annotation and presentation skills. My goal is to build their confidence and creativity so they can produce a cohesive, well-structured portfolio that reflects their personal style and meets GCSE criteria.
