About Philip

My name is Philip, and I am a second year mathematics and computer science student at the University of Sydney. I completed my Higher School Certificate in 2023 and received a 99.65 ATAR, alongside numerous awards for the dux of my school and diocese. I received a result of 96 in Mathematics Extension 1, 96 in Chemistry, 94 in Mathematics Extension 2, 93 in Physics and 91 in English Advanced. Throughout my HSC journey, I collated hundreds of past papers, practice questions and many textbooks which I found extremely valuable in studying for my exams, and which provides immense value to my students. I also have a deep knowledge and understanding of the complex systems behind scaling and alignment, and developed a world-first raw marks ATAR calculator which is used by hundreds of year 12 students across the state.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching involves analyzing my student's strengths and weaknesses, and applying appropriate learning techniques to help them within lessons, alongside providing proven study advice which enables my students to improve the effectiveness of their study beyond my lessons. I understand that high school can be an extremely stressful, difficult experience for many students, however I hope that through my deep understanding of my HSC subjects and the ATAR system as a whole, I can ease some of the pressure and enable my students to reach their goals. Group, multi-subject and sibling discounts available upon request.
