About Madelyn
I am a university student, currently studying at the Australian Institute of Music. I have eleven previous years of experience acting in amateur musicals, which has given me both a passion and a unique drive to keep the art form alive by passing on whatever knowledge I have to those who wish to pursue it as well. I have two years of classical training under my belt, and studying Music Performance in VCE has given me further understanding into performance, and in-depth theoretical skills that will help when studying text.

My belief is that student and teacher should work together to achieve the best outcome for the student, and in an environment where all are passionate about what they're studying, that collaboration is achievable. A typical lesson will look more like a masterclass, where students bring a song/script etc. they wish to explore further, or would like help in learning, and we discuss the material in depth and workshop ways to develop it in terms of acting, singing and music theory. This practice-based learning also allows students to work on their confidence as a performer.
