About Sam
My name is Sam and I'm a songwriting tutor based in Hull, UK.
I have taught hundreds of students of all ages and backgrounds for the past 11 years. Previous students have gone on to have their songs released by international artists, and/or performed by the writer themselves who have singed publishing and recording deals.
As a writer and producer I have had numerous cuts with recording artists, totalling over 1 Million streams on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube. Songs that I have written have been recorded in world class studios such as the acclaimed Metroplolis Studios in London, as well as winning several awards, including the Songwriter Universe 'Best Song' and The UK Songwriting Contest.

I teach songwriting to complete beginners, intermediates, as well as advance students who require mentoring to keep on track and achieve their goals.
Lessons are always tailor made to help you reach your specific goals. If you're looking to write your first song, we can look at basic songwriting methods to get you started and give you a taste of the art of songwriting.
However, if you've already got a number of songs under your belt, we can work towards refining your craft and pushing your songs out to artists, producers etc.
During your first lesson we'll discuss what you are looking to achieve, and evaluate what your strengths and weaknesses are. From there, we'll create a plan of action in order to get you on your way to your goals!
