Learning the foundational songs helps a singer understand the Bhaav (emotion) and structure of Rabindra Sangeet much more deeply.
Most students learn Rabindra Sangeet through imitation, I teach through transformation. By mastering the light classical foundations and the original source melodies of Bhanga Gaan (broken song), you will gain a rare structural understanding of Tagore's genius.

Through this, you will be able to learn about vocal texture; she sings every song with great patience, and she understands melody (sur) and rhythm (taal) — the most important elements of music — better than anyone else.
