About Catherine
Hello! I’m a friendly and inspiring BAFTA-winning screenwriter, and I love working with writers to develop and hone their scripts. I’ve spent 25 years shaping much-loved, award-winning family favourites such as The New Teletubbies, Pocoyo, Shaun the Sheep, Waffle the Wonder Dog, PJ Masks - and so, sooooooo many more! Alongside a slate of feature films in active development, I also tutor and mentor with various international organisations. I’m a firm believer that there’s no single ‘right’ way to tell a story; every writer has to find their own path. Yes, there are tools and techniques to learn - but the real trick lies in knowing which rules to bend or break. That exploratory process is my favourite part of the work, both in my own scripts and in supporting others with theirs. It's all about finding the magic, and I hope I get the chance to help you find yours!

I tutor with a method I've developed myself called "From Tiny to Epic", inspired by my many years working in children’s television as a writer, series creator, head writer and story editor on numerous much-loved, hit shows. "From Tiny to Epic" is a universal writing guide for all genres and all ages. Believe it or not, the same storytelling fundamentals apply whether you’re writing a horror film, a psychological thriller or an 11-minute preschool episode! The method uses simple, powerful building blocks to help you grow your idea into a fully realised screenplay - ensuring you engage your audience with integrity, clarity, pace and wonder.
