Tutoring Approach and Teaching Style
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My teaching approach is student-centered, meaning I adapt my methods to suit the individual learning style, pace, and goals of each student. Key aspects of my methodology include:
Assessment First: I begin with a quick diagnostic to understand the student’s current level, strengths, and areas that need improvement.
Clear Objectives: Every lesson has defined learning outcomes, so students know what they'll achieve by the end of the session.
Interactive Learning: I use a mix of explanation, questioning, guided practice, and real-world examples to ensure active engagement.
Scaffolded Instruction: I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and gradually reduce support as students become more confident.
Regular Feedback: I provide immediate, constructive feedback and incorporate review sessions to reinforce learning.
Use of Technology: When appropriate, I incorporate digital tools, visuals, and interactive content to enhance understanding and retention.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
A standard lesson is 60 minutes, which allows enough time to:
Review previous material
Introduce new concepts
Practice and apply knowledge
Address any questions or difficulties
For younger students or particularly intensive topics, I also offer 30-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on need and focus.
