About Madi
Hiii! My name is Madi!
I’m an artist with years of experience in a wide variety of mediums, and I love helping people grow their creativity in a way that feels fun, supportive, and personalized. I’m a streamer and IT graduate on my way to entering the Cybersecurity work field. I also have a strong background in English, so I’m happy to help with writing and communication skills when needed.
My lesson hours are weekdays in EST but I’m always available to message at any time regardless if you're scheduled for lessons or not. On weekends, I work as a caricature and portrait artist at a big theme park, which gives me lots of hands-on experience that I bring into my lessons.
I’m LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent-friendly, and very patient. As someone with Autism and a few major health conditions, I understand that everyone learns differently, and I aim to create a comfortable, flexible space for every student.
I also share my home with my sweet chihuahua, Saddie, so you may see her pop in sometimes!
If you’re looking for a kind, understanding tutor who will support your goals and help you grow at your own pace, I’d love to work with you!

My lessons focus on helping you grow in your own unique way and style while building a strong foundation in the basics. Instead of a rigid horrible rubric, I tailor each lesson to your skill level and interests to help you learn to love the arts to aid you in any way such as a new hobby, mental health expression, a homeschooling class, or a thing to do to get out of the house!
I can work with every learning method at any pace while making your comfort come first. With a strong background in technology, I utilize many ways to help you learn online! Such examples are screen sharing, calling/video chatting, showing my paper, practices to do outside of lessons, online whiteboards, etc. :)
As for how the lessons go, I'll get to know you in the beginning by learning you and your interests and then help you shape your skill. I'll have plenty of assignments (upon request) and a course personally laid out for you to follow!

Madi has been an excellent teacher that I must recommend. I would be nowhere close to where I am now without her tutoring. She's patient and explains things so well.
Madi has constantly helped me with my art whether it be about composition, values, or understand color in design. They have an excellent way of teaching in a personable way that is easily understood. On top of this she's helped with my creativity and encouraged my art to grow in the basics and higher level concepts. I believe they are one of the best people to help teach me more about art, design, and growing confidence as an artist! I know Madi from online and has been teaching me and helping me for years at this point, constantly never failing to deliver on great advice.
I met Madi online when searching for help with my art and she asked my learning style- I said I didn't have a clue and she immediately got to know me and ask me a few questions that helped her pinpoint it exactly! She was able to read me like a book and talk to me like she knew me my whole life LOL. I have improved DRASTICALLY on coloring and drawing outside of the box, I don't worry nearly as much as I used to about the way my art is perceived. She draws with me by sharing her screen on a Discord or Zoom call, and when it's digitally we open up an online whiteboard and she literally helps correct and teach me real time. She's the realest of real 10/10, love her!
For starters, Madi has been my friend for a few years now. I'm slightly older, and have been doing art for about the same length if now longer than Madi has — and I was still able to learn a lot through her! Madi is very patient and understanding, takes the time to re-explain or further break down concepts when you're struggling. In my personal experience, Madi has been able to explain and exemplify art concepts to me in ways that many other tutorials and teachers have been unable to. With Madi's teaching, I was able to grasp concepts such as anatomical proportions so efficiently that it almost gave me whiplash with how quickly my art improved! Madi also has an extremely impressive grasp on color theory and color usage both in traditional and digital art mediums. 11 out of 10 stars from me! Haha.

OVERVIEW:
IN PERSON LESSONS:
✧ I will only travel to public spaces, a Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts preferred but any fast food or public park within radius works! (NOTE: I do responsibly carry accessible items for self-defense)
✧ I will bring most, if not all, of the materials you will be needing. If you decide to keep me as your tutor, I will be sure to get you the appropriate supplies for your lessons! (which is pretty much why it's priced a lot higher than online tutoring)
ONLINE:
✧ You will be responsible for the materials you will be using - HOWEVER, I will match what materials you use with mine! Lead pencil and printer paper? I'll do the same!
✧ You are able to message me (not call) any time for questions or help but it may take a bit to reply as I am frequently busy!
