About Sam
I’m training to be a software engineer, but have spent the past couple years as a coach and tutor so I want to keep exercising my teaching muscles!
I have a CS background from college and recently completed Harvard’s ED-X CS50 course as well as codesmith’s CS Prep and CSX courses.
I have a strong understanding of all the topics covered in the CSX course, so if you’re just starting out with JavaScript and would like some guidance, I’m here to help!

I teach students by presenting them with problems and then, based on their responses, I work through material with them to fill in their gaps in understanding. Once the student has an understanding of the concepts, I encourage them to reinforce it with simple practice problems, then apply their knowledge by responding to questions and through more advanced problem sets that require them to not just apply solutions, but identify problems.
