About Charumathi
Hello! I'm Charumathi Chandrashekar, and I'm thrilled you're considering me to guide you on your journey to becoming a confident, powerful communicator. Inspiring Trust & Establishing Legitimacy When it comes to your education, you deserve the best—and that means working with a tutor who is not only an English expert but also a strategic coach. My background is unique: I specialize in High School English, writing mechanics, and critical literature analysis. But what truly sets me apart is my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources. My MBA ensures that every lesson is structured, goal-oriented, and professional. I don't just correct sentences; I teach you how to organize your thoughts and communicate with the clarity and impact required in college and the professional world.

My approach blends traditional, critical analysis with modern, business-oriented goal setting.
Diagnostic Assessment: I never start a class without understanding the student's needs. The first session involves a brief diagnostic (reviewing past papers, essays, or a short writing sample) to pinpoint specific weaknesses—whether they are grammatical, structural, or analytical.
The "Why" Method: Instead of simply correcting mistakes, I focus on explaining the principle behind the error. For example, rather than just fixing a run-on sentence, we discuss clause structure and the flow of ideas, teaching them how to self-edit.
Iterative Writing Cycle: Writing is taught as a process. Students draft, I provide detailed, actionable feedback (often using tools like Google Docs for collaborative editing), they revise, and then we review the improvement. The focus is always on revision and growth, not just the final grade.
Active Literature Engagement: For literature, I use methods like Socratic questioning to draw out critical interpretations, ensuring the student is the one building the argument, not just memorizing notes.
