About Min

It’s been 10 years since I taught my first student Chinese at the university. Although I’ve developed my career in journalism, teaching Chinese has always been an inspiring way for me to appreciate the beauty of the language. I enjoy seeing people express themselves more confidently in another language and appreciate the humor that arises from the playful use of multiple languages. Language learning should not be dull, and I can show you how.

About the lesson

As a native Chinese-language journalist who writes in English, I believe that language and culture are complementary, which is one of the most enjoyable aspects of learning a foreign language.

With my passion and profound knowledge of Chinese linguistics, I can guide you through a Chinese learning journey, offering engaging, authentic, and sophisticated cultural insights.

Additionally, as a native Wu Chinese speaker, I can provide fascinating anecdotes about the complex dialect system and its ancient usage within the Chinese language.
