About Jessica
I am a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Biological Sciences, and have previous experience tutoring A-level Biology. I studied Maths, Geography and Biology at A-level, and did 11 GCSEs (A* to A). I enjoy working with young people, helping them through their studies and giving advice on school and university.

I firstly like to have a discussion about how tutees enjoy learning, what topics they are particularly struggling with, and what they want to achieve from being tutored. I then plan sessions, which will usually begin and end in factual recall and exam-style questions to measure learning progress, and in the middle will involve a back-and-forth discussion about topics. I encourage tutees to be honest and ask specific questions about what they are struggling with. I also enjoy providing interesting analogies and explanations to deliver tricky topics.
