About Megan
I am Megan, I have a PhD in Biology, with a focus on endocrinology (hormone signaling) and molecular biology. Throughout undergraduate, graduate school, a postdoc, and into the workforce, I have gained a mountain of experience in different types of biological sciences and a good understanding of how what we learn in the classroom translates to real life. I have worked with students, interns, and trainees throughout this time, and I love the moment of seeing something "click" when they learn something new. I am excited to help you find those moments in your studies, and to learn even more along with you.

I discovered my own love of science in a 9th grade biology class. I have yet to find a science subject that doesn't fascinate me, and I would love to see students from high school up to graduate school learn and grow.
A typical lesson with me may go as follows:
1. The big picture: Understand why the topic you're studying matters.
2. The details: Step-by-step understanding of each part of the material, using a lot of discussion, use of visual or audio aids, and teaching back to me to help gain real understanding. This will be tailored to your learning style.
3. Back to the big picture: connect what you learned back to the "why" it's important, this is vital for retaining information.
