About Olivia
Hi, I’m Olivia! I’m currently studying Public Health and have a strong passion for biology and the health sciences. I love helping students build confidence in their learning and making challenging concepts easier to understand.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, strengthening their understanding, and improving their exam skills.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy painting, camping, and training competitively in rifle shooting with aspirations of competing at the next Olympics. These hobbies have taught me discipline, focus, and creativity—qualities I bring into my tutoring approach. I pride myself on being approachable, organized, and encouraging, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes. This consists of first establishing what knowledge the student currently has in the topic and figuring out gaps in this. We will then work through a set of slides which I have put together consisting of mostly diagrams and images, as well as short recall activities to work through together. At the end I like to go through some typical exam style questions to help students feel more confident about answering these.
I have previously tutored people local to me through word of mouth and would love to help more VCE Biology students
