About Maxwell
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Rhode Island, double majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Spanish, with a minor in neuroscience. I have had experience tutoring peers in the past, beginning early on in high school and continuing to today. Outside of academic tutoring, I have taught in other capacities; I have been a youth snowboard instructor, a soccer coach, as well as a personal soccer trainer. While the aforementioned doesn't necessarily lie in the academic realm, I have nonetheless had a passion for helping others learn in all aspects of life.

My teaching style revolves around focusing on problems that will target the needs of each student. A typical lesson with me would consist of a short time going over the material/concept being covered in the lesson, slowly transitioning to using practice problems as a method of building the student's independence in the subject. The first couple of problems will be done with me, the next, with my help as needed, and then the last two will be done completely by the student, allowing them to build their confidence in their abilities. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to recognize quickly the learning styles of my students, as well as my ability to help them be able to quickly grasp topics at a level that gives them the freedom to solve problems on their own. My lessons are for anyone. Whether my student is in elementary school or college, the lessons will be just as beneficial, no matter the age.
