About Joseph
I hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.S. in Physics. I have more than 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring students from high school through graduate and medical school, helping them strengthen their understanding of mathematics and build the confidence needed to excel.

Our Lessons Together:
My goal is to help students learn the mathematical formulas and methods needed to succeed; while also developing the type of deep mathematical intuition that allows them to quickly and easily decode and solve any new problems they encounter in their standardized testing and mathematics coursework.
Every lesson is personalized to the student’s individual goals, experience, and learning style.
We begin by assessing exactly where they are, identifying any current gaps in their mathematical skills or knowledge, and building a plan together to help them meet and exceed all of their academic goals.
Teaching Philosophy:
I sincerely believe that every student can learn complex mathematical concepts with the right guidance, patience, and teaching approach. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and tackling new and unfamiliar material.
I believe that learning happens best when students feel encouraged, challenged, and safe to grow.
