About Sherlaine
I am currently a private tutor having recently graduated with a Bioscience degree. I have been a private tutor for over 5 years, specialising in maths and biology for GCSE and A Level. I have repeatedly increased my students' confidence in their learning, helped with exam and study techniques and have helped them to achieve higher grades, particularly at GCSE level.

My tuition sessions consist of a dialogue between my students and I. I aim to assess the learning style of my students and tailor my delivery method accordingly. I believe that with maths in particular, it is usually a matter of overcoming "Maths anxiety", so my main goal is to focus on building the confidence of my students and providing them with the tools they need to tackle any question with conviction.
I typically start with a short, related activity to warm up and then dive into the main body of the tuition session. I like to finish with a summary from the student and an interactive activity in order to assess my students' understanding.
