About Ris
With 14 years of experience as a singer and rigorous training in songwriting and music theory, I can help with vocal technique, interpretation and the development of an authentic artist voice for pop, folk and indie singers! I'm currently a BMus student at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in my last year, where I've been studying vocal technique, songwriting and musicology.
I sing professionally with the London Contemporary Voices and I've performed at venues ranging from Union Chapel and Oval Space to the newly renovated Queen Elizabeth Hall in the Southbank Centre.

Ris has a vast musical knowledge and experience that contributes to his fantastic teaching skills - highly recommended!
Ris has been my vocal coach for two terms now and in that time the progress we’ve made on my technique, confidence, and finding my artistic voice or niche has been astounding. He has helped me to prepare for auditions and has an intuitive sense of what will suit my voice and showcase my range to give me the best chance of success. Ris is patient yet challenges me to achieve the best I am capable of and I would wholeheartedly recommend him as a tutor.
Ris is an energetic and dynamic tutor. He is capable of making a great personalised plan for his students. His experience as a vocalist and his knowledge in music theory especially intervals, allows him to be a good teacher.
