About Eric
I am a passionate software engineer at FactSet in London who graduated with a first class degree from the University of Edinburgh. I have been passionate about learning and computer science since the age of 16. Since then I achieved straight A's in high school and moved onto getting into one of the top universities in the country. At university I achieved a first class degree and honed my skills in my favourite areas of computing such as frontend development, object orientated programming, cyber security and blockchains. Straight after university I was offered a software engineering position at FactSet in London which I currently work. Here I have been proud to develop some top of the industry software and more recently the integration of LLMs into our system The academic and professional success in my career stems not merely from formal education, but from applying learning strategies derived from academic research and trial and error with myself. Lessons are structured for students soon to take GCSE, National 5, Higher or A-Level computer science looking to maximise their understanding in a short amount of time. Lessons utilise academically proven learning methods such as active recall, collaboration and spaced repetition to ensure students maximise their exam potential. These methods have helped myself achieve academic success and I am eager to share them with my students. Lessons are typically 1 hour and I usually recommend twice a week for optimal learning however for last minute revision more lessons are necessary Lessons can be customised to students on request I look forward to learning with you!

Eric is really great teacher especially for GCSE/National 5 level. Helped my son achieve an A in his National 5 Computer Science after failing his prelim! He has taught him programming skills he will have for a long time and has inspired him to pursue a career in tech.
