As a passionate and experienced English tutor, I believe that language learning is best achieved through practice, engagement, and real-world application. My goal is not just to teach English, but to empower students to speak confidently and communicate effectively in any situation. Whether you’re preparing for a job interview, traveling, or simply looking to improve everyday conversation skills, I offer personalised lessons that help you reach your goals.
# Teaching Methods and Techniques
1).Conversational Focus: I encourage students to speak as much as possible. I believe that the key to fluency is immersion, and I create a relaxed atmosphere where mistakes are part of the learning process.
2). Real-World Scenarios: We work through practical situations, such as ordering at a restaurant, giving presentations, or negotiating, so you can apply what you learn to everyday life.
3).Interactive Lessons: I use a combination of listening exercises, role-playing, and vocabulary-building activities to keep lessons engaging and dynamic.
4).Pronunciation and Accent Improvement: Special attention is given to pronunciation, intonation, and accent reduction to ensure clear communication.
5).Cultural Context: Understanding the culture behind the language is key. I share insights into idiomatic expressions, slang, and cultural nuances to make your English sound more natural.
# A Typical Lesson Plan
1). Warm-up (5-10 mins): We begin with a brief conversation or a fun icebreaker to get comfortable and set the tone.
2). Topic Introduction (10-15 mins): I introduce the focus of the lesson (e.g., new vocabulary, grammar point, or conversational topic) with examples and explanations.
3). Practice & Application (20-25 mins): Engaging activities such as role-playing, discussion, or interactive exercises where the student actively uses the new knowledge.
4). Feedback & Correction (5-10 mins): I give constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and sentence structure while reinforcing key points from the lesson.
5). Wrap-up & Homework (5 mins): I set practice tasks or encourage the student to engage in English outside of lessons, like watching an English video or reading an article.
