About Beth

I’m a British postgraduate student in Australia and have been tutoring since I left school myself, having graduated high school and college with highest grade possible in Math. I understand the barriers to studying and find it rewarding to see the impact my teaching style can have on students.

About the lesson

Hi all, my name is Beth and I’m a British Maths tutor currently in Australia. I have 6 years of experience teaching both in person and online. I use patience and adaptability to ensure my teaching style suits each student, whether they learn best visually, through practice, or by breaking concepts down step by step.

Having recently been a student myself, I understand the challenges students face and use tried-and-tested methods tailored to the individual until everything starts to click. I’m known for being patient, flexible, and supportive, creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making progress at their own pace, an issue that a lot of students face in the classroom.

My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to build their confidence in maths.

Thank you for everything you did to support Ava in passing her Maths GCSE. You were incredibly responsive to her gaps, you were super friendly, subject knowledge was excellent and always did your absolute best to accommodate the bookings Ava requested. I would absolutely recommend Beth- thank you!

Beth has tutored my daughter in maths, and it has made a real difference to her confidence. She is patient, supportive, and explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand.

My daughter recently struggled with a topic, and Beth took the time to go through it step by step until it clicked. She finished the lesson feeling proud and much more confident.

Beth is a wonderful tutor, and I would highly recommend her to any parent looking for maths support.

My daughter had struggled with maths throughout primary and senior school until Beth began tutoring her. Beth took the time to explain things to my daughter, which is what she needed as she was very shy and felt she couldn't ask for help at school. My daughter began to excel at maths soon after Beth began tutoring her, and I can't thank her enough! My daughter's confidence began to increase since Beth began tutoring her, and she has moved up several sets! If your child is shy and feels they "can't do maths," please consider Beth as a tutor—she's kind, considerate, and knows her stuff! ☆☆☆☆☆
