I design SAT and ACT lessons to help students build confidence, master test strategies, and achieve top scores. Each session is personalized to target a student’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring efficient progress and skill retention.
Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
I focus on both content mastery and test-taking strategies for all sections of the SAT and ACT. Lessons include practice questions, timed exercises, and techniques for tackling tricky problems. I emphasize understanding the reasoning behind each question, teaching students how to think critically, manage time effectively, and avoid common mistakes.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Review previous material and test practice results
Teach new strategies for reading, writing/English, math, and science (ACT) sections
Guided practice with step-by-step explanations
Timed drills to build speed and accuracy
Recap key takeaways and personalized study tips
What Sets Me Apart:
With over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning differences, I create a supportive and adaptive learning environment. My neuroscience background informs evidence-based methods that boost comprehension, memory, and confidence.
Who the Lessons Are For:
These lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for the SAT or ACT who want to improve scores, strengthen test-taking skills, and build confidence. Whether starting from scratch or refining advanced skills, I tailor every lesson to the student’s goals.
