About Roze

As an experienced tutor with degrees from Cal Poly SLO and Santa Barbara City College, along with schooling experience in Fiji, I bring a diverse understanding of educational systems. I'm adept at tailoring lessons to meet varying academic needs and fostering effective learning across different cultures and environments. I have a passion for learning, which often is not developed in the United States, where standardized testing is prevalent. I ensure that the topic is understood thoroughly, rather than memorized.
When it comes to any topic, it is important to ask yourself "can I explain this well to a 5 year old", if you can't, you don't know the topic well enough. Even when it comes to complicated engineering concepts, that question must be asked, and that is what I base my lessons on and how I learn anything.

As a tutor, my approach emphasizes clarity and engagement. I tailor lessons to individual learning styles, incorporating practical examples and interactive problem-solving.
Each session begins with a clear objective and progresses through structured explanations and guided practice.
My expertise in AI mathematics correction sets me apart, ensuring students grasp concepts effectively. I tutor students of all ages and levels, from elementary to college, specializing in science subjects and mathematics.
In the sciences & mathematics, the history behind concepts often are neglected. I ensure that the student knows where the concept originated from, this enables the student to thoroughly grasp the topic as well as allow their critical thinking to flourish.
