About Calvin

Hello, my name is Calvin, I’m 27 years old.
I’m French, with Vietnamese and Polish roots.
I’m passionate about history, social sciences, and travel. I love understanding the world and sharing that knowledge with others.
I have a strong interest in the Cold War and the history of religions, two subjects I explain with clarity and enthusiasm.
I also worked as a tour guide in the Middle East, helping people discover the history, cultures, and major issues of this fascinating region.
I have basic skills in English and Spanish, and I understand Romanian.
I also speak Romani, which I learned in order to support Roma communities across Europe.

About the lesson

I enjoy teaching because seeing a student make progress truly motivates me.
Thanks to my experience and volunteer work, I can adapt to all ages and use simple, fun learning methods.
One of the methods I use is TPR (Total Physical Response), developed by the American psychologist James J. Asher.
This approach links language to physical responses such as gestures, movement, handling objects, and interactive games.
If you want to learn French or improve it through conversation, you’re in the right place!
I can also help you prepare for an exam or support your children with fun and engaging methods to learn History or other subjects (in French).
I offer lessons that are fully adapted to each student’s pace and needs.
