About Felix
I am an experienced private tutor specialising in English Literature, History, History of Art and academic writing. I graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge in 2016 with a degree in History of Art.
Alongside teaching, I work as a writer and copy editor, helping to refine written work for clarity, structure and style. This experience proves particularly valuable when supporting students with coursework, dissertations, university applications and personal statements.
Before becoming a full-time tutor, I taught English to professionals and university students through the platform Ringle, worked as a teaching assistant in a UK school and spent several years in education and visitor engagement at institutions including the British Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.
I love to see my students become independent learners and develop the skills they need to succeed. I am friendly and approachable and believe that lessons should be as enjoyable as they are effective.

I teach English Literature, History and History of Art from GCSE through to university level (including A-Level and IB), as well as supporting university applications, coursework and dissertation writing. All tuition is delivered online, making it easy to fit our sessions around your studies, work or other commitments.
My lessons focus on critical thinking and academic writing. Rather than simply memorising information, students learn how to analyse evidence, construct stronger arguments and communicate their ideas with confidence.
Our first meeting is an opportunity to discuss your goals and identify the areas where you would most benefit from support. From there, I tailor every lesson to your individual needs and, where appropriate, the requirements of your exam board. Sessions combine targeted activities and discussion designed to deepen your understanding and develop your analytical skills. After each lesson, I can suggest optional exercises or reading to help consolidate what we've covered. I also offer detailed written feedback on essays and coursework.
I have a range of experience teaching SEN students, including those with ADHD and dyslexia.

Perfect! Having been out of formal education for a while, I was very nervous about making my application for an MA in Art History. Felix's help was invaluable.
