About Teresa
Our lessons usually focus on speaking and are designed around a short-term goal. We use engaging, authentic materials, including short videos created for native speakers rather than language learners. Many students tell me these materials are one of their favourite parts of our lessons because they're interesting, practical, and expose them to real English.
Every five lessons—or whenever you'd like—we review your progress and adjust your learning plan to make sure your lessons continue to match your goals and priorities.

Most progress happens between lessons. I work best with intermediate and advanced learners who are ready to take an active role in improving their English. I'll help you make the most of your self-study by recommending activities and resources that have helped other students continue improving between lessons. My goal is to help you become a more independent English learner, so you continue making progress even when we're not in class.
During your trial lesson, I'll assess your English level, learn about your goals and interests, and teach a short sample lesson. If you complete a short questionnaire beforehand, we'll have even more time to focus on learning. Afterwards, you'll receive a personalised four-week study plan with practical recommendations to help you achieve your next goal.
Preparing for IELTS Speaking? The trial lesson includes a full mock speaking test, detailed feedback on your performance, and a personalised five-lesson study plan designed to help you reach your target band score.
