I’m Dr Sarah, a Cambridge University trained veterinary surgeon who tutors KS2 and KS3 Science, GCSE Biology (AQA, Edexcel and OCR), 11+ and 13+ entry, and Oxbridge and Vet School applicants. I’ve guided my own children into top independent senior schools and supported many students with personal statements, interview technique and confident exam preparation. My lessons are calm, fun and engaging. I tailor each session to the student and recognise quickly when a concept hasn’t quite stuck, then find a fresh way to explain it. I use a see it – do it – teach it approach: once a student can explain a topic back to me, I know they understand it well enough to apply it in an exam. For senior school entry, I have experience with CEM, ISEB, logic and problem solving, creative writing, science papers and assessed group activities. A typical lesson includes clear explanations, practice questions, examples and regular check-ins. My aim is for every student to feel ready for their next step, whether that is the 11 plus or university. I enjoy helping students grow in confidence and achieve their goals, whether we work through the full syllabus from the start or focus on tricky areas later in their preparation. As a mum who has been through many exams myself and with my children, I understand the pressure and practical challenges. I’m happy to help parents with strategies and admissions advice too!
